1. What does life cycle management mean in relation to medical devices?
Life-cycle Management includes all services that accompany a product throughout its entire service life. From maintenance and repairs to spare parts supply, product care, modernisation and reverse engineering. The aim is to accompany the device throughout its entire product life cycle and keep it reliable and successful on the market.
2. Does DITABIS also offer repair and maintenance services?
Yes. As an ISO 13485-certified OEM partner, we take care of repairs, preventive maintenance and service intervals for your devices. Every measure is documented in accordance with standards, ensuring that your products remain audit- and approval-compliant at all times.
3. How long does DITABIS supply spare parts for appliances?
We guarantee long-term spare parts supply and can also take care of warehousing on request. This ensures that your equipment can be operated reliably for many years to come – regardless of discontinued components or supply bottlenecks. We will coordinate with you individually depending on your requirements.
4. Does DITABIS provide support for product maintenance and updates?
Yes. We offer technical updates for hardware and software, firmware adjustments and functional optimisation. Our services also include visual facelifts and ergonomic improvements to ensure the long-term market appeal of your devices.
5. What happens if a component is no longer available?
In such cases, we develop equivalent alternatives. This means that we analyse the original component and manufacture replacement solutions that are technically compatible and often even improved.

7. We have a product for which we no longer have complete documentation. Is there a solution for this?
Yes. With the help of reverse engineering and technical reconstruction, we create missing documentation and bring your device back up to standard. In doing so, we take into account the latest ISO 13485 requirements and, on request, also prepare new approval documents. This means that your devices can continue to be operated and maintained in a legally compliant manner.
